The Summit Federal Credit Union has initiated its 2023 School Supply Drive, with donation drop-off points established across its 14 branch locations.

The initiative is aimed at supporting local educational communities, including Big Brothers Big Sisters of multiple regions and school districts such as Cortland Central and Seneca Falls Central.

Twanda Christensen, Vice President of Marketing and Community Engagement, emphasized the importance of the drive, stating, “With rising school supply costs, we aim to relieve some financial strain for families and ensure a smooth start to the 2023-2024 academic year. All donated supplies will benefit the respective local communities.”

Established in 1941, The Summit Federal Credit Union, a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative, boasts assets exceeding $1.3 billion. The institution, dedicated to the diverse communities of Central and Western New York and the Finger Lakes Region, offers a wide array of financial services to its 91,000 active members. Further details about the drive can be found on their official website, summitfcu.org.
