Authorities arrested a Cohocton resident after a person was assaulted during a domestic incident.
Sheriff Jim Allard says Timothy MacDougal Jr., 38, was arrested after deputies responded to a report of a person being assaulted in a domestic incident.
MacDougal is accused of choking and injuring a person under 17.
As result, he was charged with assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, and endangering the welfare of a child.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
