The New York Mets made a handful of roster moves Monday ahead of their three-game series against the Chicago Cubs.
The club sent infielder Brett Baty to Triple-A Syracuse and placed outfielder Starling Marte on the 10-day injured list with a right groin strain.
Infielder Jonathan Araúz and outfielder Abraham Almonte were called up to take the open roster spots.
Baty, 23, was hitting just .161 (15-for-93) with three homers and seven RBI over his last 30 games.
