The Mega Millions jackpot has soared to a massive $1.55 billion, set to be drawn on Tuesday, August 8.

This comes following an unclaimed draw on Friday, escalating the stakes to the third highest in the history of the game.

The previous drawing’s winning numbers were 11, 30, 45, 52 and 56, with a Mega Ball of 20.

The game has been absent of a jackpot winner since April 18, creating an air of anticipation among lottery participants.

Despite the odds of clinching the jackpot standing at a slim one in 302.58 million, the immense prize is likely to stimulate a surge in ticket purchases.
