The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrest of a 40-year-old woman, Sonya L Johnson, from Arcadia following a traffic stop on State Route 88 in the same town.
Johnson was pulled over for operating a vehicle without headlamps during dark hours, leading to further investigation and her eventual arrest for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and DWI with a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of .08% or higher.
Post-arrest, Johnson was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office where she voluntarily submitted to a chemical test, revealing a BAC of .15%.
Johnson was subsequently released with tickets, and is slated to appear in the Town of Arcadia Court at a later date to answer to her charges.
