The New York Mets (50-60) losing streak reached five after falling 7-3 to the Baltimore Orioles (69-42) on Saturday night at Camden Yards.
Jeff McNeil provided all of New York’s offense, going 2-for-4 with his fourth home run of the season and a run-scoring single.
Tylor Megill made his first start since late June and allowed five runs on nine hits over 4 2/3 innings. Grant Hartwig and Phil Bickford each allowed a run in relief of Megill.
The Mets will try to avoid the sweep and get back in the win column on Sunday at 1:35 p.m. Left-hander Jose Quintana will take the ball.
