Several departments were requested to the scene of a serious two-car crash on 5&20 in Waterloo late-Wednesday.
The initial call, which came in a little after 9 p.m. resulted in 5&20 being shut down to all traffic about twenty minutes later between Brewer and Reed roads.
It’s unclear when the roadway was reopened, but Border City and Waterloo fire departments were on scene, according to our partners at the Cayuga/Seneca Fire Wire. North Seneca Ambulance and LifeNet was also requested to the scene.
There were two individuals hospitalized after the crash, but it appeared early-Tuesday that only one of them was airlifted.
Cayuga/Seneca Fire Wire also reported that it was a busy night for LifeNet, who flew out of Seneca County to hospitals in Rochester and Syracuse three times for separate calls in less than 12 hours.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates as the day progresses.
