Cornell University has unveiled plans for a substantial $110 million renovation of its iconic McGraw Hall.
McGraw Hall is a four-story, 60,000 square-foot building that currently houses the departments of history and anthropology, as well as the university’s archaeology program.
Due to deterioration, the building has been classified as a safety hazard and needs significant renovations to function effectively as a space for research and teaching.
The renovation project, which has been in planning for several decades, aims to optimize space usage and remedy existing structural deficiencies.
Work could begin as soon as January 2025.
