The Board of Supervisors of Seneca County voted unanimously on Tuesday to renew a three-year contract with Dundee-based waste management company J.E. Gibson Co., doing business as Cardinal Disposal.
This ensures the continuation of curbside recycling pickup services for residents. The current agreement with the company is set to expire on December 31.
Under the new agreement, the county will pay Cardinal $599,988 annually for three years, amounting to a total of $1.79 million.
This cost will be offset by a $37.50-per-housing-unit recycling fee, added to residents’ tax bills, maintaining the fee structure from the previous year.
