Several departments were dispatched to a two-car accident on the New York State Thruway during the early-morning hours on Friday in Cayuga County.
According to our partners at the Cayuga Seneca Fire Wire, Weedsport, Port Byron, Jordan Rescue, Jordan, Throop, Auburn and AMR Ambulance went to the area of mile marker 312 eastbound for a two car crash.
One of the vehicles involved rolled over during the crash. There were four patients, but just two were transported to area medical centers.
A total of five ambulance rigs were ultimately requested to the scene. The Thruway Authority was also on-scene of the crash.
Reports from first responders also indicated that one person was taken into custody. However, that information could not yet be independently verified as of 5 a.m.
This story will be updated as new information becomes available.
