REPORT: Lake’s Edge development in Geneva should resume in August

  • Staff Report

The Lake’s Edge Seneca development project, which involves the construction of a $25.2 million hotel and condominium project on the former Geneva American Legion property on Lochland Road, has paused raising some questions about its future.

City Manager Amie Hendrix dismissed the rumors telling the Finger Lakes Times this week that the pause was due to financing challenges associated with some international funds but reassured that the project was moving forward.

Construction is expected to resume in August.

The project is being led by Pennsylvania-based company Rivers Edge Capital and includes the construction of 51 luxury townhomes on the 13-acre lakefront property.
