The Pizza Coop: Phelps has its first pizzeria in two years

Mary DePorter is filling a gap in the culinary offerings in Phelps with the opening of her new venture, The Pizza Coop, marking the return of pizza to the town after a two-year absence.

The pizzeria, recently featured by the Finger Lakes Times, is situated at 112 Main St., and will open its doors to the public on August 2 following a soft launch.

DePorter told the FLT that she hopes her business can help lead to the village’s downtown resurgence.

The Pizza Coop brings together a family team with deep roots in the food industry.
