Police arrested an Ithaca man after a traffic stop for his involvement in a stabbing.
On Tuesday around 7:34 p.m. Ithaca police conducted a traffic stop on Route 13 because the driver was wanted for a stabbing assault that occurred on July 13.
The driver was identified as Christopher Daniels, 27, of Ithaca, who was charged with first-degree assault, a Class B felony.
He was taken into custody without incident and held at the Tompkins County Jail.
Police were assisted by the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office and ask anyone who may have witnessed either incident to contact IPD.
