Homeowner, dog escape injury after structure fire in village of Naples

Deputies provided an update on a structure fire in the village of Naples on July 16.

According to a news release, firefighters were called to James Street in the village for a structure fire.

The homeowner and her dog were the only two occupants inside the home at the time. Neither were injured.

Naples, Bristol, Richmond, Atlanta, Middlesex, Cohocton, and Cheshire fire departments responded to the scene.

The fire is still under investigation, but appears to be accidental and caused by a faulty grill or propane tank.
