Deputies provided an update on an afternoon personal injury crash on Ridge Road in Wayne County.
According to a news release, Marcia Hopkins, 62, of Williamson was traveling west on Ridge Road when her vehicle left the north shoulder of the road, striking a mail box and water meter.
The vehicle then reentered the roadway, croassing over to the south shoulder of the road, before coming back across the road and striking a garage that caused significant damage to it.
Hopkins was believed to have a medical emergency, which led to the crash. She was issued tickets for moving from lane unsafely. She was transported to Rochester General Hospital.
The crash happened around 12 p.m. on Wednesday.
Deputies were assisted by Williamson Ambulance, Wayne County ALS, Williamson Fire Department, Williamson Water Department, and Williamson Code Enforcement.
