Police provided an update on a handful of burglaries that happened on July 8 between 3:30 and 4:30 a.m. in the city.

The update, which came during the overnight hours on Sunday, indicated that the first burglary occurred on Elmira Road. The second was on West State Street. And the third occurred at the Ithaca Commons.

All three were considered forced entry burglaries, where windows or doors were damaged in the process.

Police believe 4-5 suspects were involved in the incidents.

The Ithaca Police Department was assisted by New York State Police and the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone with information that could help police with the investigation is asked to call (607) 272-3245.
