The New York Yankees made roster moves ahead of Sunday’s series finale against the Colorado Rockies.
The club placed veteran third baseman Josh Donaldson on the 10-day injured list with a right calf strain and recalled infielder Oswald Peraza from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Donaldson suffered the injury while running to first base in Saturday’s 6-3 victory. There is no timeline for his return.
Peraza returns to the big leagues for the first time since May 20. In 12 games with the Yankees this season, the 23-year-old is hitting .188/.316/.219 with three runs batted in.
