Mets snap four-game skid with walk-off win over Dodgers in extras

The New York Mets (43-50) snapped a four-game skid with a 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers (53-39) in 10 innings at Citi Field on Sunday evening.

After Mookie Betts tied the game with an RBI single off Trevor Gott in the eighth to eventually send the game to extras, Luis Guillorme walked it off in the tenth with a run-scoring double, helping the Mets avoid the three-game sweep.

Max Scherzer turned in his best outing of the season, firing seven shutout frames while giving up just one hit while striking out six.

David Robertson recorded the final six outs without allowing a run, picking up the win and improving to 4-2 on the season.

The Mets will get the day off before they continue their homestand Tuesday night with a three-game series against the Chicago White Sox.
