Mets outfielder Tommy Pham day-to-day after reevaluation

The New York Mets received good news on outfielder Tommy Pham Wednesday.

The club announced that Pham is day-to-day after leaving Sunday’s game against the San Diego Padres with a groin injury. He underwent testing, which came back clean, and was later reevaluated by team doctors.

Pham is hitting .277 with nine home runs, 14 doubles, and 34 RBI over 69 games this season.

The Mets return to action Friday when they open a three-game series with the Los Angeles Dodgers at Citi Field. The first pitch is slated for 7:10 p.m.
