Ontario County is set to launch an application process for grants aimed at funding projects that enhance arts, cultural, and recreational opportunities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The funding comes from the Federal American Rescue Plan Act and is directed towards non-profit organizations, private entities, and municipalities that have faced challenges due to the pandemic. The initiative aims to bolster the quality and accessibility of these facilities for the residents of Ontario County.
Grant applications will be open from July 10th and will run through August 11. Applicants may seek funds ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 for projects that address the negative impact of COVID-19. Eligible projects should involve investment in the arts, cultural activities, or the creation or enhancement of active or passive recreational opportunities, and contribute to the economic resilience or the quality of life in Ontario County.
The grant application process and further details regarding eligibility, matching funds, and other program requirements can be accessed on the Ontario County’s official website at ontariocountyny.gov/communitygrant starting July 10.
