The New York Yankees (49-41) snapped a three-game skid with a 6-3 victory over the Chicago Cubs (41-47) at Yankee Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

New York, who has had trouble scoring runs, put up six which is more than their total from the previous three games combined.

Giancarlo Stanton led the way with a two-homer game, his eighth and ninth of the season. Josh Donaldson smacked his tenth home run while Harrison Bader added a two-run double.

Gerrit Cole allowed three runs over 7 1/3 innings.

The Yankees will try to win the series on Sunday at 1:35 p.m. before the All-Star break begins. Domingo Germán will take the ball.
