Albert Abreu was just as bad in relief as he allowed six runs and recorded just two outs. Wandy Peralta also surrendered a run while Deivi García, Ron Marinaccio, and Isiah Kiner-Falefa posted scoreless outings.

New York, who was outhit 20-6, plated its lone run in the ninth on a fielding error.

The Yankees will try to rebound on Friday when they begin a three-game series with the Chicago Cubs at Yankee Stadium. Carlos Rodón will make his Yankee debut. The first pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m.
