  • Staff Report

Leandre Lovett, an Ithaca resident, pleaded guilty to a felony count of second-degree burglary and is slated to receive an eight-year prison sentence in August.

Lovett was apprehended last November following a series of break-ins at three residences in southern Seneca County.

A tense manhunt involving multiple law enforcement agencies unfolded over several hours before he was finally captured.

Authorities took Lovett into custody after a homeowner held him at gunpoint until he was taken into custody.
