Gunshot fired into residence on Friday Night in Geneva

Shots were fired during a disturbance at a residence on Lewis Street yesterday evening, prompting a swift response from the City of Geneva Police Department. The incident, which occurred between Geneva Street and Exchange Street, was reported at approximately 7:50 PM on Friday, June 30, 2023.

Upon receiving the call, members of the Police Department’s Uniformed Division rushed to the scene. Preliminary investigations revealed that a male suspect had discharged a single gunshot into the residence before fleeing. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Authorities are now seeking the assistance of the public in gathering information related to the case. Individuals who witnessed the disturbance or possess any relevant details are encouraged to come forward.
