Tickets for the 31st induction ceremony into the National Women’s Hall of Fame, set for September 30th, are now available for purchase. Prices range from $30 to $125 and can be acquired from the Smith Opera House box office, located at 82 Seneca St. in Geneva, which is also the venue for the event. The illustrious Class of 2023 includes Patricia Bath, Elouise Cobell, Kimberle Crenshaw, Peggy McIntosh, Judith Plaskow, Loretta Ross, Alluquere Rosanne “Sandy” Stone, and Anna Wessels Williams, who were selected by an independent national panel for their contributions across a range of fields.
The induction ceremony, set to begin at 2 p.m., will be graced by all living inductees, with representatives attending on behalf of those being honored posthumously. Opening remarks will be delivered by 2021 inductee, Indra Nooyl, serving as honorary chairwoman. “In a few short months, people from across the nation will come together in celebration of a historic class of women who have helped change the world,” said Jennifer Gabriel, the Hall’s executive director.
Additional festivities include a public open house from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 1st at the Hall’s headquarters located at 1 Canal St., and the ceremony will also be streamed on the Hall’s YouTube channel. Detailed profiles of the eight inductees are accessible at the Hall’s official website. Available corporate sponsorship and program advertising opportunities can be inquired about via email.
