Yankees reinstate outfielder Harrison Bader from injured list

The New York Yankees got one of their best defensive outfielders back ahead of Tuesday’s series opener against the Seattle Mariners.

The club reinstated Harrison Bader from the injured list and optioned Oswaldo Cabrera to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to make room on the roster.

Bader has played in just 26 of the team’s 72 games this season because of two separate injuries. The recent injury he suffered came at the end of May when he strained his hamstring.

The 29-year-old is hitting .267/.295/.511 with six home runs and 19 runs batted in this season.
