Search warrants executed simultaneously throughout Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, and Monroe counties: Sheriff Cirencione says there’s no risk to the public

Throughout the morning on Tuesday law enforcement agencies across the Finger Lakes executed a series of search warrants.

According to Ontario County Sheriff David Cirencione, those were executed simultaneously and are part of an ongoing investigation.

He says there’s no threat to the public in any of the places where these search warrants were executed. However, the roads that were temporarily closed this morning have since been reopened.

Motorists and residents reported police activity and temporary road closures in Ontario, Wayne, Seneca, and Monroe counties.

Apparently they were all part of the same investigation.

No additional details are going to be released, Sheriff Cirencione said.

Agencies involved included sheriff’s offices in Ontario, Monroe, Wayne, Seneca, and Yates counties, as well as police departments in Geneva, Canandaigua, Rochester, and Newark. New York State Police also assisted.
