Just hours after bringing back Zemgus Girgensons on a one-year contract, the Buffalo Sabres re-signed forward Lukas Rousek to a two-year contract worth $775,000.
The first year is a two-way contract, while the second is a one-way contract.
Rousek, 24, spent most of last season in the AHL with the Rochester Americans, where he scored 16 goals and recorded a team-high 56 points in the regular season before netting five goals and 12 points in the playoffs.
Rousek was selected by Buffalo in the sixth round of the 2019 NHL Draft. He appeared in two games with the Sabres last season, scoring a goal and notching an assist in his debut.
