Syracuse Police Department detectives are interviewing a man who was shot outside Destiny USA over the weekend, according to law enforcement.
The incident, which occurred on a bridge walkway over Hiawatha Boulevard, is still under investigation, and no suspect is in custody.
Police say the incident stemmed from an argument between the men inside the mall, though further details surrounding the dispute were not disclosed.
Following the gunfire, mall operations were briefly disrupted, leading to a temporary lockdown that left shoppers confined behind store gates.
Despite the abrupt lockdown and subsequent investigation, Destiny USA management has yet to publicly comment on the incident.
This response follows a similar pattern from earlier this year when the mall administration took six days to address an instance of a 14-year-old discharging a firearm into a mall trash can in February.
