Officer Tim Durgan of the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office will serve as the new School Resource Officer (SRO) for the Naples School District this coming fall, following approval by the Naples School Board.
Durgan will succeed Officer Rick Jaus, who is retiring after many years of commendable service in the school district.

The announcement was made by Naples School Superintendent Kevin Swartz in a recent social media post.
In his message, Swartz praised Durgan’s extensive experience and expressed confidence that the new SRO would continue to provide significant support to students, staff, and the wider community. He also encouraged the community to celebrate the retiring Officer Jaus, lauding his years of outstanding service and wishing him a well-deserved retirement.
