A Steuben County man is in custody after a stabbing over the weekend.
Adam Clark, a Hornell resident, is accused of stabbing a 33-year-old in the chest after a verbal argument.
The incident unfolded on Saturday, according to authorities, who say Clark fled on scene afterward.
He was eventually taken into custody and charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Those charges are expected to be answered at a later date. The victim was treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
