An update has been provided by first responders on a fire in Tyre that prompted a response during the late-afternoon hours.
Around 6 p.m. on Sunday the Clyde Fire Department was dispatched to a possible structure fire in the town of Tyre.
Smoke and fire was reportedly seen by passerby coming from the roof of a commercial building in the area of State Routes 20 and 89.
Seneca Falls units were first on-scene and reported that all mutual aid could stand down.
Clyde responded to assist with putting out the fire, which turned out to be a controlled burn with illegal items in the fire behind a building.
The fire was approximately 20 to 30 feet away from the structure, firefighters added.
No additional information was immediately available.
