Could condos be coming to the former Seneca Falls Town Hall?

Matt Bell of Our House Your Home Inc. has presented plans to the Seneca Falls Town Board to convert the vacant former Town Hall building at 10 Fall St. into 12 market-rate condominium units.

The proposal is in response to a request for proposals issued by the town.

His company is offering $50,000 for the property and estimates that the renovation project would take approximately 14 months to complete, including necessary repairs from a previous fire.

Could condos be coming to the former Seneca Falls Town Hall?

Originally built in the 1960s as a medical arts building connected to the town-owned Seneca Falls Hospital, the former Town Hall building suffered severe damage due to arson in 2004.

The town offices had to relocate multiple times since then. Our House Your Home Inc. also has a long-term goal of acquiring the neighboring property at 2 Fall St. to create a cohesive campus and intends to collaborate with the town to enhance the waterfront area at VanCleef Lake. The estimated cost of renovating 10 Fall St. is around $900,000.
