The city streets of Auburn are getting brighter.
The Auburn Police Department is leading an effort to get donated lightbulbs to residents.
Finger Lakes News Radio reports that 2,500 lightbulbs will be handed out.
“It gives the opportunity, not only for the police department, but the fire department and ambulance, who respond to calls,” Chief Slayton told City Council. “You can see the house numbers better so this was an all around effort.”
Residents can pick up the bulbs at a drive through event on July 15 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
