LP Building Solutions, a manufacturer of wood building products, is reportedly on schedule to complete the construction of its $24-million facility in Bath, located on State Route 54.
The company confirmed on June 7, 2023, that the construction is progressing as planned, with the facility’s opening anticipated by the end of this summer.
The project, initially announced in December 2021, is expected to add 60 jobs to the local economy.
The Bath plant will serve as a prefinishing location for LP’s “SmartSide ExpertFinish” wood siding. Financial contributors to the project include Empire State Development through the Excelsior Jobs Tax Credit Program, NYSEG, the Steuben County IDA, and B&H Railroad, with the former investing up to $1 million.
