Student loan payments will soon resume thanks to debt ceiling deal

As part of the recent debt ceiling agreement passed by Congress, student loan repayments are set to resume.

This provision is part of a broader deal that prevents the nation from defaulting by enabling the government to continue borrowing money.

The student loan repayment clause indicates payments will restart 60 days after June 30, essentially at the end of August.

This pause in payments was initially implemented by former President Donald Trump in response to the pandemic.
