The New York Yankees (36-25) capped off a six-game road trip with a 4-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers (35-25) on Sunday night at Dodger Stadium.

Domingo Germán turned in one of his best outings of the season, allowing just one run on four hits over 6 2/3 innings. The only mistake he made came in the seventh when he gave up a two-out, two-strike, game-tying home run to J.D. Martinez.

Kyle Higashioka and Oswaldo Cabrera drove in runs with groundouts. Anthony Volpe provided the Yankees some breathing room with a two-out, two-run homer in the eighth inning, his ninth of the season.

Clay Holmes and Wandy Peralta had scoreless outings out of the bullpen to close it out.

The Yankees will get the day off Monday before they begin a three-game series with the Chicago White Sox Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium.
