The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal car accident that happened in the area of State Route 96 and Rowley Road in Victor on Sunday.
According to a news release, two vehicles were involved in the wreck.
One of the vehicles involved was operated by 36-year-old Kasey Wesley, of Canandaigua. The other vehicle, which collided with Wesley’s vehicle head-on, was operated by 82-year-old Henry Lopez, of Brooklyn.
Lopez was traveling north on STate Route 96 when he failed to keep right and entered the southbound lane of traffic. A backseat passenger in Lopez’ vehicle succumbed to injuries at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Part of Route 96 was closed while crews worked the scene.
Lopez was cited for failure to keep right. The investigation remains active.
