The New York Yankees made several roster moves ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Seattle Mariners.
Centerfielder Harrison Bader was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain. The severity of the strain is not yet known. Bader left Monday’s contest after legging out an infield single in the third inning. The 28-year-old was hitting .267/.316/.411 with six home runs and 19 RBIs in 26 games this season.
Outfielder Franchy Cordero was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to replace Bader on the active roster.
Catcher Jose Trevino was reinstated from the 10-day injured list after missing two weeks with a right hamstring strain.
Ben Rortrvedt, who served as the backup catcher while Trevino was out, was sent back to Triple-A to make room on the active roster.
