Livingston County EMS members awarded regional honors

The Monroe Livingston Regional EMS (MLREMS) Council has gave prestigious accolades to three members of the Livingston County EMS team.


Jonathan Lindskoog and David Thomas were named 2022 Advanced Life Support Providers of the Year, while Howard Smith received the award for 2022 Basic Life Support Provider of the Year. These awards laud the exceptional dedication, responsibility, and professional behavior exemplified by these EMS personnel, according to Livingston County EMS Director, Karen Dewar.

The award recipients have established remarkable careers.

Lindskoog, a paramedic since 2015 and current shift supervisor, is admired for his unwavering pursuit of clinical excellence. Thomas, a paramedic with Livingston County EMS since 2017, is revered for his technical skills, clinical approach, and composed demeanor under pressure.

Smith, with an EMS career spanning four decades, is known for his commitment to exceptional patient care. One particular case in November 2022 showcased their exemplary teamwork and life-saving efforts, resulting in a successful rescue of an unconscious individual.
