Police arrested a Geneva man on felony charges after a fight in progress call on May 19.
According to a news release from GPD, Gregory Townsend Jackson, 57, of Geneva was charged with a count of second-degree robbery. It’s a Class C felony.
When police arrived they located a 37-year-old woman who was physically injured.
Through investigation officers learned that Jackson assaulted the woman by striking her several times with closed fists, then forcefully stole property from her.
When officers approached Jackson and spoke with him- he became irate and attempted to fight police.
He was taken into custody and held at the Ontario County Jail.
The victim was treated at a local medical facility and released.
