The two-seeded Syracuse women’s lacrosse team fell 8-7 to three-seeded Boston College in the NCAA semifinals on Friday night, ending its season.
Syracuse led 7-5 going into the fourth quarter, but Boston College went on a 3-0 run, including a goal from Kayla Martello on a free possession to give the Eagles their first lead of the game and eventually the victory.
The Orange, who finished the season with an 18-3 record, are still looking for their first national title.
Boston College will face Northwestern in the National Championship on Sunday at noon.
