On Thursday, May 25, New York State Police, in conjunction with the Horseheads Police Department, conducted operations at Exotic Gifts N Dreams and Buds “R” Us sticker shop in Watkins Glen.
The enforcement action, part of an ongoing investigation into the operation of regional sticker shops, saw uniformed and plainclothes officers removing items in bags from the stores, which were then placed into parked vehicles.
The focus of the investigation is on the practice of these ‘sticker shops’ that are allegedly distributing marijuana as a “gift” with the purchase of a sticker or other items. Despite the seizures, state police have reported that no arrests were made during the raids.
