Two Farmington residents are accused of abusing a young child.
Luis O. Rodriguez and Stephanie P. Chavez, were arrested on Thursday following accusations of physically abusing a three-year-old girl, as reported by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
The duo were taken into custody from their apartment without any incidents ensuing, as a result of an investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, which led to their arrest for assault in the second degree.
According to deputies, the investigation revealed that the alleged abuse by Rodriguez and Chavez was severe enough to hospitalize the young girl for over four days. Following their arrest, the suspects were transported to the Ontario County Jail and held in pre-arraignment detention.
