Longtime country radio host Becky Palmer, known for hosting the “Tom and Becky” morning show on B104.7 with Tom Owens, has passed away at the age of 68 following a battle with cancer.
Palmer, who spent over two decades at the station and survived breast cancer, retired in 2019 alongside Owens.
Palmer’s co-host and close friend, Owens, paid tribute to her in a Facebook post, praising her courage during her prolonged cancer fight and commemorating her as a mother, friend, and influential figure in the broadcasting community.
The duo was nominated for CMA Medium Market Personalities of the Year by the Country Music Association in 2017. Palmer is survived by her three children and grandchildren. Details regarding memorial services have yet to be announced.
