Deputies say a part-time jail cook was arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges after working as a civilian member of the Livingston County Jail staff and having an inappropriate relationship with an inmate.
Lisa Falkner, 56, is accused of having a romantic relationship with an inmate, which included inappropriate contact between the two.
She’s also accused of bringing an item into the jail, which she then gave to the inmate. Once she found out there was an investigation underway, Falkner is accused of attempting to alter evidence to avoid being caught.
She was charged with tampering with physical evidence, promoting prison contraband, and forcible touching.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
