Aaron Judge homers again in Yankees’ wild win over Blue Jays

The boos rained down on Aaron Judge as he stepped up to the plate in the eighth inning with the game tied at three, but that did not bother him at all as he crushed a go-ahead two-run home run to straightaway center, helping lift the New York Yankees (25-19) to a 6-3 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays (24-18) on Tuesday night at the Rogers Centre.

This came after Domingo German was tossed from the game for using a foreign substance, the Yankees blew a 3-0 lead, both team’s third base coaches were told several times to stay inside the coaching boxes, and Blue Jays manager John Schneider told someone in the Yankees dugout to “shut up, fat boy.”

Germán fired three perfect innings before he was ejected. The bullpen did a really nice job, aside from Ron Marinaccio, who allowed three runs. Ian Hamilton, Ryan Weber, Clay Holmes, and Wandy Peralta all had scoreless outings.

Isiah Kiner-Falefa went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk. Gleyber Torres drove in a pair of runs with a single and a sacrifice fly, while Harrison Bader chipped in an RBI groundout. Jose Trevino had three of New York’s nine hits.

The Yankees will try to win the series on Wednesday at 7:07 p.m. with Gerrit Cole on the hill.
