First responders were left investigating after several departments responded to a structure fire on Wayneport Road in Wayne County.
The fire itself was in the Farmington Fire District, which meant departments from both Ontario and Wayne counties responded to the scene around 10:45 a.m.
One cat was reported missing after the fire, and another died inside the blaze. Human residents inside the home escaped without injury.
The home was a total loss and the fire appeared to begin in the area of an attached garage. The American Red Cross was deployed to help the impacted family.
