Aaron Judge homers twice as Yankees take series opener from Blue Jays

The New York Yankees (24-19) opened a seven-game road trip on Monday night with a 7-4 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays (24-17) at the Rogers Centre. 

Aaron Judge homered twice and worked three walks, including one with the bases loaded to lead the offense. Willie Calhoun crushed a two-run homer, while Kyle Higashioka and Anthony Rizzo added run-scoring hits.

Jimmy Cordero opened the game and fired two perfect innings. Jhony Brito took over in relief and allowed four runs (two earned) over 5 1/3 innings. 

Michael King recorded the final four outs of the contest, earning his third save of the season. 

The Yankees will send Domingo Germán to the mound for the second game of this four-game series on Tuesday at 7:07 p.m.
