A grim discovery was made in Baldwinsville on Saturday, May 13, as State Police were alerted to a body found in the Seneca River.
The authorities were notified by walkers who had spotted a floating object in the water near the Riverview Cemetery and dialed 911.
Upon reaching the scene, the State Police confirmed the recovery of the body. The State Police Underwater Recovery Team was mobilized to facilitate the removal of the body from the river.
The authorities have announced that further information concerning the incident will be made available later in the day.
